ACLS Certification New York

March 10, 2013

ACLS Certification New York is becoming more of a requirement each year for the city's hospitals and medical clinics. Advanced cardiac life support training has been a requirement for medical professionals for many years in the United States. Although most NY hospitals are now requiring their employees to maintain their ACLS, many clinicians are having a difficult time finding locations to complete their training.

Options to get started and earn your ACLS or get recertified:

With the increased demand for health care workers in the great NY metropolitan area, most providers are struggling to find open classes to complete their ACLS, PALS or BLS certifications. Here are the 3 best ways to complete your ACLS in New York.

1.) Take an online course. This option is becoming more and more popular and is super convenient. You can usually get the online option done in several hours. Most courses include study materials and will also provide you with practice exams in order to prepare for the actual final test. Keep in mind that some online courses are different than others in regards to requiring a skills assessment. Try to find a program that is 100% online - this eliminates the extra burden of having to locate a nearby return demonstration session.

2.) Check with your employer to see if they are offering any free training on-site at your local hospital. Most of the time, the hospitals have some affiliation with the American Heart Association and therefore will charge a fee to take their course.

3.) Take a cruise! Yes, you heard me right. You can take a vacation now and complete your cardiac life support training while on board a luxury liner. This option is obviously intended for those wanting to spend some time vacationing, rather than solely going in order to become ACLS compliant again. If the two options above fail and you are in need of some sun, why not try this option?
