The Portland Center for the Performing Arts is a popular arts center with annual and monthly events. Performing groups include the Oregon Symphony, Portland Opera, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Portland Youth Philharmonic, and Portland Gay Men’s Chorus.
The Portland Art Museum is one of the 25 largest in the country and has 35 centuries of works exhibited. There are Renaissance, 19th and 20th century American, Native American, Asian, and West African art works exhibited. The Northwest Film and Video center shows historical and traditional film exhibits.
