It’s unfortunate, but there’s a low use of prenatal care happening in New Jersey. Lack or misinformation about its importance, and trouble accessing medical care or medications, can contribute to this unsettling trend. Medical experts know how crucial proper prenatal care is for the health of the baby and mother.
Inappropriate care continues after the baby is born. There is also a low rate of immunizations in young children. New Jersey ranks 45th nationwide for both prenatal care and immunization rates. Not taking preventive steps can lead to serious health risks later in life.
ACLS and PALS certification is being required by more employers than ever. The knowledge that these programs provide are very relevant for medical personnel who handle emergency situations. Don’t worry about how to fit this into your schedule because courses are 100% online.
It isn’t all bad news for children. Compared to other parts of the country, there are a low number of children living in poverty and adequate high school graduate rates. There’s no shortage of physicians, which means residents don’t have problems scheduling an appointment for an annual checkup.
Just like other states, obesity and diabetes has been increasing in New Jersey. There are about 619,000 adults living with diabetes in the state. Thousands more are pre-diabetic or do not realize that they have diabetes.
New Jersey is right on par with the rest of America, and around one quarter of all adults is defined as obese. That’s about 1.7 million people packing around some serious extra weight.
The health risks that accompany diabetes and obesity are staggering. Requisite amputations, cardiovascular disease, and “bad joints” from excess weight are just a few of the problems. Obesity can usually be controlled by diet, and Type 2 diabetes can be prevented or managed if caught early.
Where can I find the schedule of classes in New Jersey?
There is no schedule because classes are online. This allows residents to take the course and examination at their own pace and on their schedule.
Will this course qualify for my New Jersey ACLS requirements?
Yes. Our courses are guaranteed to fulfill ACLS requirement in any state including New Jersey. It is transferrable to other states if a person moves.
What if I don’t want my employer to know my course was online?
Don’t worry. There is no mention on your ACLS card of where the course was completed.

New Jersey became the 3rd state in 1787. The state capitol of New Jersey is Trenton with a population of 84,639 people (2005 Census). Newark is the largest city in the state, with 280,666 people (2005 Census). The total population of New Jersey is 8,791,894 people (2010 Census). New Jersey is comprised of 7,417 square miles of Appalachian valley in the north, highlands and ranges from northwest to southeast, broken plains leading off to coastal plains in the southeast. The state flower is the purple violet. The state bird is the eastern goldfinch. The state insect of New Jersey is the honeybee.
Originally New Jersey was a part of New York, until 1664 when the Dutch surrendered to England and New Jersey became a colony of its own under Governor Philip Carteret. 1676 brought about struggle between Carteret and the English Quakers. In 1702 the royal governor of New York named New Jersey as a “united crown colony”. It wasn’t until 1738 that New Jersey completely separated from New York and was governed under its own governor, Lewis Morris.
New Jersey was the site of a great deal of fighting during the American Revolution because of its proximity to New York and Philadelphia. In more recent years industrialization has become one of the most prominent icons of the state. Known as the Crossroads of the East, New Jersey is a hub for transporting goods and products. 12 states plus the District of Columbia are represented in the total of 15,000 factories where goods can be delivered overnight to nearly 60 million people. New Jersey definitely understands the power of such industry standards, as they are very successful.
The second largest industry in New Jersey is tourism. There are many resorts spread across the 127 miles of coastline on the Atlantic Ocean. Casino gambling was legalized in Atlantic City in 1977, also adding to the income from tourism. New Jersey is home to Princeton University, the Delaware Water Gap, Edison National Historic Site, and other popular tourist destinations. New Jersey is also home to prominent historical figures and famous people including Edwin Aldrin, Count Basie, Jon Bon Jovi, Aaron Burr, Lou Costello, Jerry Lewis, Norman Mailer, Antonin Scalia, Bruce Willis and others.
