Its theater district is one of the largest in the nation, and it offers year round performances in music, theater, Broadway shows and more. The theater district has 12,948 seats and it is the second largest concentrated theater district in the nation.

Houston is multicultural, and over 90 languages are spoken in the city. It has one of the youngest populations in the nation, and it is home to several advanced learning institutions. Because of the diversity of the demographics of Houston, the culture of the city is affected by several groups. Houstonian culture is an interesting blend of Asian, Latino, Indian, European, and Southwestern American culture.

Houston’s visual and performing arts scene is one of the most active in the nation. The Houston museum district attracts 7 million tourists annually. Some of the more well-known art facilities include The Museum of Fine Arts, and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Houston’s music scene is also active with several venues for rock, country, and hip-hop concerts.

Houston sporting events are popular entertainment gatherings for locals and tourists. Houston has a team for almost every professional sport. Some of the more well-known Houston teams include the Astros, Texans, and Rockets.

Other tourist attractions in Houston include its 337 parks. Houston has more park space than any other city from the top ten most populous cities in America. The Williams Waterwall, a multistory fountain, is a regular tourist attraction.

Houston is an affordable place to live with the second lowest cost of living among the major American cities. With several art galleries, sporting events, music shows, and other types of entertainment, there is definitely a lot to do in Houston.
