The climate of Philadelphia is humid subtropical with hot and humid summers and cold winters. The city also receives 42.1 inches of rain with eight to eleven days per month of rain on average. Spring is mild and the city receives an average of 19.3 inches of snowfall per year. The 2009-2010 winter season was the snowiest season ever for Philadelphia with 78.7 inches of snow. Philadelphia is features several historical sites and landmarks as its main tourist attractions. One of the most popular sites is Independence National Historical Park which has Independence Hall, the location where the Declaration of Independence was signed. The Liberty Bell is also located in the national park. Edgar Allen Poe’s home is another commonly visited site.
