The numerous attractions of San Antonio drive 20 million tourists to the city each year. The River Walk is one of the most popular tourist destinations. It is a series of walkways along the San Antonio River that features numerous bars, restaurants, and shops. The Alamo is another top attraction which is the site of the famous historic battle. San Antonio also has a Sea World, which is the third most popular attraction in the city. The Cathedral of San Fernando, the Spanish Governor’s Palace, and the Menger Hotel are some of the popular downtown tourist sites. The Fairmount Hotel is San Antonio’s second oldest hotel and was placed three blocks south of the Alamo in 1985.
